Primary Recruitment

Each year, the University of Iowa Panhellenic Council hosts Primary Recruitment during the fall semester, typically spanning a few weekends in late September/early October. This mutual selection process takes place over four rounds. Since COVID, Round 1 has remained virtual, with Potential New Members (PNMs) submitting introduction videos and each sorority sharing a video about their chapter. From there, PNMs come to the houses for Round 2: Sisterhood, Round 3: Philanthropy, and Round 4: Preference. The experience ends with one of the most exciting days of the year, Bid Day! If you would like more information on Iowa's fall formal recruitment process, please visit https://fsl.uiowa.edu. Delta Gamma hopes to see you at recruitment next year!

Continuous Open Bidding (COB)

The University of Iowa does not always hold an informal spring recruitment. However, if Tau is below the maximum membership total, we may participate in Continuous Open Bidding (COB). COB allows us to extend bids to girls outside of the formal recruitment period, offering another opportunity to join Greek life even after Primary Recruitment has ended.

If you have any questions about COB, feel free to contact our Director of Continuous Recruitment and Retention, Rachel Lee, at taudg.recruitment@gmail.com.
