Recruitment Events

The Panhellenic Coucil at the University of Iowa hosts Primary Recruitment every year. It takes place during the first couple of weekends of the Fall Semester. The mutual selection process occurs over 4 rounds, Meet the Chapters, Welcome Back, Sisterhood, Preference and finishes with Bid Day. It is a great way to see all of the chapters on campus. Continuous Open Bidding (COB)

The University of Iowa does not always hold an informal Spring recruitment, however if our chapter is not over the maximum number of members we may participate in continuous open bidding. Continuous Open Bidding means that we can offer bids to new members even after primary recruitment has ended. The Panhellenic Council also holds a Recruitment Fair early in the Spring Semester for women interested in joining a sorority.
